/ Plan my trip

For all trips, the meeting point is set at our base where you will leave your vehicle. At your arrival, we will welcome you; our staff will provide advice, and equipment (life jackets and waterproof containers) before your departure.

For upstream trips

You will take the minibus shuttle that will take you to the departure location of your choice. After the briefing prior to your stroll (technical, tourism and security advice), you will board and have all the time you need to descend at your rhythm (breaks, picnics) unto our base.

For downstream trips

After the briefing prior to your stroll (technical, tourism and security advice), you will board directly at our base, to descent to the arrival location. After your stroll we will come pick you up at the schedule determined during the briefing, to drive you back to our base by minibus.

Schedules may change depending on the season, please consult us before your arrival.

We recommend booking your trips as well as showing up at least 15 min before the departure of the shuttle.

• Via the autoroute A10, exit at Blois, then take the N252 to Bourges.
• Via the road D951 (left bank) toward Orléans at 3 km from Blois.
• By train, exit at Blois station, 1h30 from Paris.
• By bike, 15 minutes only on the bicycle road that connects our base to the centre of Blois.
• Loire Kayak is located 15 min from Chambord and Cheverny, 30 min from Vendôme and Romorantin, 45 min from Tours and Orléans, only 1h30 from Paris.

7/7 days from 10-12 AM and 2-6 PM

July – August

7/7 days from 9 AM to 7 PM

Besides these opening hours we can welcome you on request.

An exceptionnal site

– Our home base, with a shaded terrace and its snack bar offers ice cream and sweets to relax before and after your trips.
– For your activities an on-site supervised swimming pool, tennis courts, mini-golf, playground for children and large green picnic areas.
– For your accommodation, Camping Val de Blois welcomes you from May to September.
– For eating out, the restaurant Loire Kafé welcomes you on the riverbank.
– For your leisure, Comptoir de Loire offers a wide range of regional products.
– For your travels, bicycles are green! Blois is at only 15 minutes by the bike road. – Rental bike service at the campsite.

/ Good to know

Mandatory

Know how to swim at least 25 meters, immerse underwater and wear the life jacket provided by our care. Wear and keep your shoes closed during your trips.

Remember o pack the following before coming

Advised sport gear (swimwear, T-shirts, close shoes), food and drinks for day activities. Depending on the weather, remember the sunscreen gear (cream, sunglasses with a cord, hats, etc.) as well as sweatshirts and windbreakers.

Good to know

We provide free waterproof containers (1 for 2 people); to keep your personal belongings dry during your activities. To make your trip easier, you can buy at the canoe base the following things : sunscreen, canoe and kayak shoes, waterproof bags and pockets for your phone, …

Respect the environnement

– Respect the wildlife and vegetation,
– Collect all your trash after your trips (garbage and selective sorting at the base),
– Never dock on an island without vegetation and only observe the nesting areas from afar,
– Respect other users and stay at a safe distance from the fishermen.

The company

Loire Kayak is a Limited Liability Company founded in February 2009, with a Head Quarter in Lac de Loire 41350 Vineuil. Loire Kayak is a member of the Fédération Nationale Professionnelle des Loueurs de Canoë Kayak, (French National Federation of Professional Rentals for Canoe Kayaking) and the GIE Rivières de France (Canoë France). To adhere to it is to be always more effiecient through the exchange of experience, the desire to create high-end services, and thus offer our customers a quality label.

Do you need to know how to swim ?

➲ Yes, it is mandatory that all participants know how to swim for 25 meters and stay underwater.

Can you bring a child along?

How should you dress?

➲ An appropriate sport gear is recommended (swimsuits and t-shirts). Depending on the weather remember to bring sunscreens as well as sweatshirt and windbreaker.

Do we need to make a booking?

➲ We recommend you book your stroll beforehand so you don’t have to wait for the shuttles.

How does the ride go?

➲ Leave your vehicle in our parking lot, we will welcome you and provide the equipment (life jackets and waterproof containers), our minibus will take you at the departure location, do your trips at your own pace (breaks, picnic) and you will find your vehicle on arrival.

Can we stop anywhere?

➲ Do not stop on an island without vegetation (protected birds nests).
